Located
on Central Florida's east coast, The Great Outdoors Resort is 1/2-mile

Bursting with 21st-century excitement, our area masterfully
blends the best of nature with the drama of science. Experience
America's history of flight from the Valiant Air Command vintage
warplane museum to the Astronaut Hall of Fame. Home of America's
space program, you can actually see from your site at the resort,
manned space Shuttles seconds after they leave the launch pad
at Kennedy Space Center. If you'd like to see the fiery countdown,
a popular Shuttle viewing site is just six miles from the resort,
and the NASA Visitor Center is only 12 miles away.
Pristine,
white-sand beaches, the Canaveral National Seashore, cruise
and gaming ship ports, shopping and hospitals are minutes from
The Great Outdoors Resort. The worlds of Central Florida's Orlando area attractions
are less than an hour's drive from our beautiful gate.
From antique hunting to scuba diving, you can be as active
or relaxed as you desire in our area. The weather here is subtropical,
with an average yearly temperature of 71.8º F. Average
annual rainfall is 55.96 inches.
In addition to the fresh water lakes on the resort, salt water fishing in the area will cast a smile across your face. Take a jungle cruise and guided Indian village tour. See alligators up close. Enjoy miles of open, natural beaches or walk among endangered species at the world-renowned Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge. Thrill to the freedom you feel on an airboat ride. Another treat in this area are the manatees. Porpoises also are likely to show off their jumping skills, and pelicans are ever at the ready to steal any excess bait.
Quaint
restaurants (on and off the property), unique shops and great
value (and friendly people!) are yours to enjoy in Titusville
and surrounding areas.
From Orlando, take the Beach-Line Expressway or S.R. 50 east.
